Pharmaceutical purified water has certain requests for conductivity and ion content, so what is the water quality requirement index of pharmaceutical purified water equipment? The primary water quality objectives are: conductivity < 2 ugs/cm, heavy metal < 0.3 ug/LTOC < 500 ug/L.

In the reverse osmosis mixing bed technology, although the reverse osmosis equipment removes most of the ions in the water supply equipment of the chemical industry, the ion exchange resin of the mixing bed still needs acid and alkali treatment to recover the ion exchange function of the resin after the failure of the ion exchange resin. Therefore, in the process of producing purified water, waste acid and alkali regeneration liquid is still discharged and polluted. Environmental Science. In reverse osmosis (RO) desalination technology, because the requirement for water quality (such as hardness, TOC and other objectives) of the electric desalination equipment is very strict, the first-level RO water often can not reach the water requirement of the electric desalination equipment, so in most cases, the second-level RO water production is needed as the water intake of the electric desalination equipment. At the same time, because of the high price quoted by the unit of electric desalination equipment, the capital cost of the equipment for purified water production has increased substantially. Although the effluent conductivity is low and the preparation process of purified water is acid-free and alkali-free, the unit cost of water production is very high, so its use is constrained by the capital cost.
The second-stage reverse osmosis water-making technology, although its water-producing conductivity is relatively high, usually its water-producing conductivity can reach the request of purified water, so it has a moderate cost with skilled equipment and simple operation and protection. Secondary reverse osmosis technology has many advantages, such as high desalination rate, high automation and environmental protection. For most water sources, the quality of water produced by secondary reverse osmosis technology can meet the requirements of pharmaceutical purified water. Therefore, secondary reverse osmosis technology must be used more and more widely in the production of pharmaceutical purified water.
